Milton Keynes Starter races are ideal preparation for the road racing season.
Races take place around the short fast circuit on the perimeter road in the Milton Keynes Bowl.
The race is handicapped so that riders are placed in groups according to their ability. The slowest group sets off first, followed by a slightly faster group setting off shortly afterwards. The scratch group containing the quickest riders will set off last and will aim to catch the groups ahead of them, while those groups in turn try to stay away.
The racing lends itself to lots of communication within groups and tactical riding. This is also ideal for new riders who want to dip their toe in the road racing water!
